These terms apply to the public photo-to-vector studio at
algorithmicink.ca and the Algorithmic Ink
ChatGPT app, embedded studio and tool service at
mcp.algorithmicink.ca
(together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Mahfouz Alcheikh
(“Algorithmic Ink”, “we”, or “us”). Contact
algorithmicink@mahfouz.ca
with questions about these terms.
By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use
the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you must have authority
to agree on that organization's behalf.
1. Using Algorithmic Ink
Algorithmic Ink transforms a photo into FM line, scribble, circle stippling or
triangle artwork. Image processing runs in your browser. The standalone website
offers SVG downloads; the ChatGPT studio offers SVG and PNG downloads when the
host supports them. The Service does not provide printing, shipping, purchases,
or a permanent artwork library.
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by
applicable law or the platform through which you access the Service. If you have
not reached the age of majority where you live, use the Service with permission
from a parent or legal guardian.
No Algorithmic Ink account is required. The public studio and ChatGPT integration
are currently free of Algorithmic Ink usage fees. Your device, internet connection,
and any ChatGPT or other third-party subscription remain your responsibility.
Any future paid offering will disclose its price and require your agreement
before a charge is made.
2. Your images and generated artwork
You retain your rights in photos and other content you provide. You must own
that content or have the permissions needed to process it and use the resulting
artwork, including any required permission from people depicted in the photo.
You authorize only the processing and transfers needed to provide the features
you use, as explained in the applicable privacy notice. This includes sharing
selected photos, settings, status, previews and exports with ChatGPT when using
the integration. These terms do not give us permission to sell your photos,
use them to advertise the Service, or train AI models on them.
Algorithmic Ink does not claim ownership of your generated artwork or impose an
additional license fee or attribution requirement on your exports. You may use
them for personal or commercial purposes if you have all necessary rights.
Transforming a photo does not remove another person's copyright, trademark,
privacy or publicity rights.
We do not guarantee that an output is unique, eligible for copyright protection,
or free of third-party rights. Review the result and its intended use before
publishing, selling, printing or relying on it.
3. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and respect other people and their rights. Do not:
Process or distribute content you are not authorized to use, or use the
Service to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
Create or distribute unlawful content, child sexual abuse material,
non-consensual intimate imagery, threats, or targeted harassment.
Use outputs for fraud, deceptive impersonation, or misleading claims of
affiliation or endorsement.
Attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, bypass technical
safeguards, or deliberately overload or disrupt the Service.
When using the ChatGPT app, you must also comply with the applicable rules
of that platform.
4. Privacy and third-party services
The website privacy notice
describes the standalone studio's local image processing and website analytics.
The ChatGPT app privacy policy explains tool inputs
and outputs, photo uploads and references, recipients, retention, and your controls.
Local drawing does not mean that everything stays on your device when you use
the ChatGPT integration. Photos chosen there may be uploaded to ChatGPT; the
studio shares status, settings and a preview, and may pass full export contents
through ChatGPT's download feature. See the app privacy policy for details.
ChatGPT, linked websites and other third-party services operate under their own
terms and privacy policies. Algorithmic Ink is independently operated and is not
made or endorsed by OpenAI. We do not control third-party availability, retention
or account decisions. Agreeing to these terms does not replace any separate
consent required by applicable privacy law.
5. Downloads and availability
Keep the studio open while an image is being processed, and download any result
you want to keep. Generation depends on your device, browser, available memory
and host capabilities. Background removal downloads a model on first use.
Large or complex images may take longer, fail to render, or produce imperfect results.
We do not provide backup or recovery of your source photos or generated artwork.
Replacing an image, closing the studio or clearing browser data can remove your
local working state. Copies already shared with ChatGPT are managed by OpenAI;
closing or disconnecting the app does not delete those copies.
We may update, limit, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security,
abuse prevention or operational reasons. We may restrict access when these terms
are violated. You may stop using the Service at any time. Stopping use does not
transfer ownership of your content to us or revoke rights in exports you already made.
6. The Service's software and materials
These terms permit you to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of its
name, branding, website content or software. Any open-source components or code
made available under a separate license remain subject to that license.
Nothing here limits permissions granted by those licenses or by applicable law.
7. Warranties, liability and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and
“as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free
operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee a particular
artistic result, compatibility with every device, or suitability of an export
for a particular printing, cutting or plotting workflow.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Algorithmic Ink and its operator
are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits,
lost business opportunities or loss of data arising from use of, or inability
to use, the Service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, warranties, remedies
or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes
applicable mandatory consumer protections. Where an exclusion is not permitted,
it does not apply to you. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your
right to seek relief from a court or regulator with jurisdiction.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the Service changes. We will publish the updated
terms and effective date on this page. For material changes, we will provide a
prominent notice on the website before they take effect and obtain any agreement
required by law. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated
terms, you can stop using the Service.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to
apply to the extent permitted by law.
9. Questions, support and complaints

you from contacting an appropriate authority.
